Christmas Fruits On A Farm

A few years ago we were invited to spend Christmas on a farm. I was a bit reluctant to go because to me ‘Farm’ means no indoor plumbing but my husband assured me that the place was as up to date as anything. It would be a unique experience for us. City life was hectic and I wanted my children to see how people enjoyed life without shopping malls and traffic jams. The family that invited us was very nice. We had only known them a few months. But the problem was what to get them for Christmas Gifts? I wanted to get something really chic and modern. But my husband pointed out that they wouldn’t like it. Their roots were not in city life. He wanted gifts that were small enough to fit in the car with the kids. I turned to my friends for help.

But no one had any experience with buying gifts for non-city people. Someone suggested I take fruit for Christmas. That would be a problem since we were going to drive to the farm. The fruit would freeze, and then get soggy. It wouldn’t be in any condition to give as a gift. And I couldn’t just give them ordinary fruit. It had to be some kind of exquisite and extremely fresh fruit. They would not like processed sugar and preservatives. But the fruit idea appealed to me.

I went online and searched for a company that could deliver a nice fruit basket to the farm. Not only did I find someone who could deliver the fruit but I found some really gorgeous fruit baskets. They were special Christmas gifts baskets available online. The Christmas fruit was arranged to look like flowers and came with chocolate sauce for dipping. In my opinion they were perfect. The chocolate was a nice touch and I could place the order from my home and chose the date of delivery. The fruit was delivered fresh to the farm the day we arrived and my hostess loved the fruit bouquet.
